Architecture and Building Surveying
Morgan Sindall were appointed Principal Contractor for the proposed Access for All works at the stations. Robinson Kenning & Gallagher were appointed as Architects for the scheme.
As part of the larger Network rail Access for All initiative the existing station access facilities were also upgraded to provide the unobstructed accessible route.
At Worcester Park the works consisted of:
Design & erection of new overbridge incorporating lifts to both platforms with lift motor rooms below the stairs .
Adaptation of the existing entrance to provide disabled access via new compliant ramped approach to the existing station ticket office and the formation of a level access night gate.
Alteration of car parking areas.
Estimated project value of £1.4M
At New Malden the works consisted of:
Design & erection of new lifts to both platforms.
Reconfiguration of the existing ticket barrier line.
Adaptation of the existing entrances to provide disabled access, covered entrance and new TVM.
Alteration of car parking areas.
