Given the somewhat strange world events of 2020, we at Robinson Kenning & Gallagher are certainly looking forward to 2021! We have a feeling 2021 is going to be many things that 2020 won’t be remembered for such as being fun and engaging. On that note, back in 2019, we were involved in a Planning ‘Change of Use’ Application with Southwark Council. Our Client (now known as ’Electric Gamebox’) were looking for new premises and a refurbished Arch Unit let by Arch Co. (83 Scoresby Street) caught their eye.
We had a few meetings with their CEO and Project Manager and it was immediately clear their future venture was going to be ground breaking. Their passion and drive for what they were developing was refreshing and truly exciting. Some details at the time were ‘Classified’, therefore limiting what we could share with the Local Authority Planners and put out in the public domain. Fortunately, behind the scenes something big in the entertainment world was being created, a vision for future immersive entertainment.
Electric Gamebox have done all the hard work. They had the vision, the innovation and the drive to bring the project forward. Robinson Kenning & Gallagher are pleased and excited to have played our small part in their project journey in helping them gain Planning Permission for their Southwark Venue, thereby helping to turn their passion and futuristic vision into (virtual) reality!

“After a year of video calls and online quizzes, a new business is hoping to make screen-time more social with its immersive group gaming booths. Each room at the Electric Gamebox has 360-degrees of visuals projected on to touch-sensitive walls, for groups of up to six players. While its venues can currently only host household groups due to the current coronavirus restrictions in England, the company hopes the activity will appeal to families and flatmates who are looking to get out and try a Covid-safe activity. “
Robinson Kenning & Gallagher wish Electric Gamebox every success in the future and can’t wait to experience the thrill and fun at one of their ever-expanding list of venues in the near future.
