Strawberry Lodge is a grade II listed building owned by the Baptist Property Board.The original 1960ís extension was in danger of collapse and needed to be demolished together with the total refurbishment of the Lodge due to dry rot and general lack of maintenance.
The Lodge was completely renovated in accordance with English Heritageís requirements and the new Church along with a multi-purpose hall and facilities were constructed.
The Hall has a community coffee lounge and meeting centre at the front with a gallery over and there is a proposal to extend the structure to form a dedicated sanctuary to the rear of the main hall.
The appointment was for a full Architectural services including engineering and Quantity Surveying, on a traditional Contract.
The Contract sum was £750,000 and the works were completed in forty weeks
