Robinson Kenning & Gallagher were appointed to act as Architects on this Design and Build Contract.
The brief was to provide professional services for the external remediation works and construction of a new manufacturing warehouse and distribution centre together with office headquarters for Kesslers International Ltd. This Client is a major European designer and manufacturer of display products and is one of the largest employers of staff in the London Borough of Newham and Tower Hamlets.
This £7.6 million project provided a storage warehouse, manufacturing and assembling space larger than the size of two football pitches, an area totalling over 12,000m2 at ground level. The structure was constructed using two portal frames spanning 42 metres each and clad with eleven different systems including composite metal cladding, built up metal cladding, structural glazing and louvres at roof parapet wall level.
