New office accommodation
Croydon Local Authority needed to create more office accommodation at Croydon Crematorium. Robinson Kenning & Gallagher were appointed on a full Architectural services basis for a traditional contract.
The brief was to create a new office block within the grounds and a floral display area for the second Chapel to be protected from the weather. The accommodation block provided staff with facilities including offices, storage, interview rooms, mess rooms and toilet facilities.
The display area included raised brick display plinths for the floral displays and a glass, clear roof for natural light. Works were completed in thirty weeks and on time by the contractor, Codell Ltd.
